MEDevice is a company with a unique combination of founders and team members. These include clinical gastroenterologists, endoscopy instrument distributors and market experts, innovative technology engineers and commercialization specialists. Our mission is to identify untapped potential within medical procedures - creating innovative devices to optimize procedure efficiency, ergonomics and effectiveness to achieve better patient outcomes.

In addition to saving patient lives, our mission is to provide economic and societal benefit globally. The vision of MEDevice is to be recognised as the premier solution provider in medical automation design for efficiency. The challenge

During procedures, endoscopists need to take 10-20 biopsies and perform other treatments with instruments fed into the endoscope (up to 200cm long) through a narrow channel. This is currently a slow manual process, often accounting for half the total endoscopy procedure, and requiring up to 3,000 repetitive hand movements daily by medical staff, leading to a high prevalence of hand and wrist strain injuries.
